Last time I checked, phonecontrol didn't support Windows Mobile 2003, so no dice. Maybe there's a new version, it's been a while since I looked into it.

I was thinking about buying the Audiovox XV6600 for it's bluetooth and DUN functionality. Does anyone have any experience with phonecontrol on it? My dream is to be able to use bluetooth to dial, recieve texts, and talk on my carputer with the phone resting in my pocket. Any input would be a big help.
Here is a link to the phone and it's specs:

Does that allow you to dial from the computer and use the computer's speakers and mic to talk?Originally Posted by Joshiwashy

Phonoco or whatever it's called (the btooth phone integration used in centrafuse) doesn't work with windows mobile 2003.Originally Posted by fabiolover2002
The 6600 and the pda2k run windows mobile 2003, so you're out of luck, unless there's a new version out.
If you find something that works with windows mobile 2003, let me know!

First:
It's called PhoneControl.NET. One could be thinking that it's not too hard to read a name.
Second:
The latest version does support WindowsMobile PPC PhoneEdition.
You should be visiting the website from time to time before you give advise to someone else.

I called it phonecontrol the first time. In the second email, I said phonoco. Phonoco is pretty close to PhoCo, as its still referred to on it's website. It's not that different. Sorry for getting the name wrong.Originally Posted by zorro
I did at least quantify my statement with the fact that WM2003 didn't work with it last time I checked, and that there may be a newer version since it's been a while. I think that would be enough info for the OP to figure it out himself.
I'm very glad to see the updated support, I will certainly be trying out Phonecontrol.NET again now! Thanks for the heads up!

Well I have the 6600 and I can't get it to work with the PhoneControl.net.
I am sure that I am just doing something wrong, but I can't figure out what it is that I am doing wrong.

The Beta test has shown that some devices have problems with the Bluetooth radio, whereas the cable connection works perfect.
Also, send me your logfiles (PhoneCtlLog.txt, WizardLog.txt and PhoCoAdapter.log on your device). I'll have a look at them.

Well now that I know there is a following for the phone I think I'm going to pick one up. Anyone know the price of EV-DO from Verizon?Originally Posted by zorro
