The network cable disconnected icon appears when a network card is enabled but receives no signal.Quote:

<Open Network Conections>
Then find the bluetooth network icon, right-click it and select <Disable>.
If you want to use this network later simply right-click and select <Enable>
To find it at a future date try <Start> <Control Panel> <Network Connections>
It would equally be possible to leave the card enabled and remove the icon, but I feel it's better to know what network connections are open and closed for basic security.
I hope that helps.
When you install the widcomm driver it lets you setup a bluetooth network and adds in a bluetooth network connection..... so unless you're going to use it (like to network two computers together over bluetooth instead of a normal LAN or wifi, or network with a pocketpc) then just disable it and be done.
Hi, I also need widcomm 4.0.1 software. Would you please send it to jender1209@yahoo.com.tw, thanks an awful lot!
Right Click on "My Network Places"
>properties
Right Click on the specific network connection
>properties
In the general tab make sure the box circled below is not checked.
I don't have my bluetooth adapter plugged in now, but it's the same box.
