Yeah, I asked him about the web site, he didn't know what I was talking about. (I sent him an email with info about it)
Note: This was a guy from Audiovox, the device is a Satronics, haven't figured out the relation there yet.
It sounds like there are other similar devices that'll work with other stuff, or that "we" can make the other devices work with anything. (Especially with the knowledge here)

    Hm2007!

I was thinking of getting a prepaid cellphone plan, and a cheap cellphone, and building a simple voice recognition system with the HM2007 chip, normally used for voice recog in robots, and attaching the input to the speaker of the cellphone, and using a PIC microcontroller or something to control the output of the HM2007, and some other things like waiting til the phone has autoanswered and a DTMF pin number before allowing the HM2007 to accept voice commands, i think it would be very cool, almost KITT like, you could have it do almost anything, up to 40 commands on the HM2007. I'm thinking of using a 16f877A PIC, and building a simple multiplexer, so I can have tons and tons of outputs, woo!

The only major drawback I can see having is the quality of the voice, its all fine and dandy when you are up close, but over a cellphone, voice quality drops, and the HM2007 might not recog my voice over the cellphone, only thing I can think of to get past this, is to program the voice commands over the cellphone, instead of using a mic.

I was just thinking that I could also dial out and transmit data from the cellphone in the car to my cellphone.

Let me know what you guys think.

Satalite paging in my companies garage?

I park in the parking garage at my office. I know that it has problems letting satellite signal in b/c my xm doesn't work. My skytel pager and cingular phone work in the garage. I remember reading about skytel two way paging systems. Has anyone worked one of these into a carputer/remote start system?

    http://www.skytel.com/products/fleethawk_pricing.htm

Still looking for something that can hookup to the computer too to send information about the car's current condition (GPS location, Speed, etc)

Does this also page you when the alarm is going off??
That would be the most useful thing
