    Engenius EUB-362 Help...WTF

Ok, so I was all excited to get mt EUB-362 based on the thread about it. So I got it today, installed all the drivers per the user manual, and now I am having some problems. First off, when I plug it in, it makes the USB connection sound (doo dee) then the disconnect sound (dee doo) then the connect sound again (like my sound description? ) (im not sure if that makes any difference tho) The client that came with the software sees the hardware is plugged in, but I cant connect to anything. I tried the windows client and WinC....but I dont see ANY networks at all....not even my own when I am in the garage less than 20 feet from the router. Device manager says its working properly (yeah right), tried reinstalling it...nothing works...I wanna smash this damn thing on the ground...any help?

just do it, throw it to the ground and jump up and down and up and down, then realize since you have your car in the garage, you can just connect it with a wire .

Thanks for the help I installed it on my laptop without a hitch, so Im pretty sure the adapter is fine, now onto the carcomp. I have no idea WTF is going on. I ran a registry mechanic and cleaned it all up, reinstalled the driver and I got a couple wireless networks showing up...w00t....but the system was running a little funny, so I figured I would restart (maybe the install wasnt completely installed)....now it is all FUBAR. 50% of the time it will hang on logon and do nothing...the other 50% of the time it starts up, but the device manager says that the device could not be started, and if I unplug the adapter and plug it back in, it starts it....and freezes the comp! So I completely uninstalled it, and everything is working fine. The comp was running perfectly fine until I tried to install this thing. It should not take 5 hours to install a network adapter Help

Is your desktop running Windows XP? I'm not quite sure what to say on this one. If the windows client doesn't work, go to Start menu > Run and type services.msc and hit enter. Then scroll down to "Wireless Zero Config" and disable it, and try to use the client that comes with the adapter. Though I don't really think this will help you.

Do you have a powered USB hub to try? Maybe your desktop is having problems powering the adapter through USB.

Thanks for the input, but I think my windows is fubar. I tried all of the 4 usb ports that the mobo had to offer (2 built in and 2 in the pci thingy) I went to drive to work today and now my XM sounds like it is underwater...no vocals and it sounds weird as hell. Tried reinstalling frodosatelliteradioX still sounds wack...The only thing I can think of is that I did have a linksys adapter, which I installed multiple times trying to fix a dhcp/ip problem, then switching to a dlink adapter, then going to the engenius and windows just got all confused (even though system restore didnt do anything) I guess its time to format....again....
