Hello All,
I have a question that maybe someone here could answer. I want to get CDMA2000 1x or CDMA2000 EV-DO internet access in my car, so I'm going to buy a module that supports both, anyways, I was wondering, if I buy the module, and get a 10min prepaid cellphone plan with a $5/month "unlimited mobile browsing" feature, unlimited as long as you are in the 1x coverage area, otherwise you only have 100 minutes (+$0.25/minute thereafter), on a simcard or whatnot, do you think I would just be able to access the internet, or would I have to get a data plan in order to do that. The module will be connected to a microcontroller, from which I will issue AT commands to the module, and I am assuming that the module I am going to get will work like the GM862 or Trizium GPRS modules from Sparkfun where I can just issue an AT command with a url and it will return the html etc.. But I dont know if I need to get a data plan or if I could use the prepaid idea. If anyone knows if this would work, could you let me know? because data plans are expensive in my area, the GTA (Greater Toronto Area).
Hey Laserlips, your momma was a snowblower!!
