Problems connecting to Cingular

I've had a wirless internet connection to Cingular using my tethered cellphone (using USB cable) for several weeks.
Yesterday it stopped working. I can still connect to Medianet using mthe cellphone but connecting my PC to the Internet fails everytime.
The message is "Error 734 The PPP link control protocol was terminated"

I've deleted and reinstalled everything including Cingular Communiucations Manager (which I wasnt using previously).

I dont know what else to try. I assume calling Cingular support is not a good idea as I am tethering the cellphone.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Have you checked your billing stuff online? Does it still show Medianet on there and are there any extra charges for data?

Could just be a temporary local outgage. Could pop over to HowardForums and ask in there.

Billing seems fine, I have a limited amount of data but there is still some available.
Problem persists this morning. If it's a problem at Cingular's end you'd think they'd have fixed it by now. I suspect some setting has changed at my end, but I dont know what.
