    Motorola MSC2000 virtual control head

I am running a Motorola MSC2000 in my car. At the moment it is occupying a precious 1 DIN space in the dash that I obviously want to free up when I install the touch screen.

Is it possible to create a virtual control interface using visual basic which I could imbed into my frontend? This would allow me to remount the radio in an out-of-the way place and use the touch screen to control channel selection, volume control, etc. The radio would still have it’s own independent speaker and microphone. The program would just take the place of the simple display and buttons on the radio’s face.

I heard Motorola were distributing (for free) a Virtual Radio Control Head which would work with the MSC2000. All you needed was the software and the RIM hardware usually used to program radios. This program is no longer on the Motorola website and can’t seem to find it anywhere else.

What is a Motorola MSC2000. I have searched, and not found that model. I know there is a 2 way radio called an MCS2000, is that what you mean??

If so, check over at the batlabs website, and perhaps ask in thier forum for more info.
