Still a waste of money - I pay $30 a month for sprint evdo and that includes the actuall phone service as well. $40 for casual data is robery!
I just got a Treo 700 and according to Verizon it doesn't support tethering with the Treo... However PDAnet works great with it. I connect at 2.4 mbps, I haven't done any bench marking to see what actual download speeds are like but it's not slow by far. The only draw back is not being able to use the phone, Unlimited data for it is $40 a month and you have to get it if you want to use the phone. Even with their basic Plan you would still pay more then you would for just getting an Aircard and using that.. However with the tethering you only need 1 line and with the treo 700 they don't have a plan structure set up to charge you extra for it. -

Verizon doesn't support tethering my vx9800 either, but that doesn't mean I'm not doing it.Originally Posted by SpeedBoost4u
