Basically, you're talking about splitting the bandwidth between two connections.
It's possible, but the effort & tiome involved wouldn't be worth the minimal speed increase you'd get, IMHO.
Basically, I was wondering if it would be possible to have 2 cell phones on 2 data cables connected to one computer and combine the bandwidth from both for a faster connection. I was reading about the Boost Mobile method of getting a real cheap connection, and the speed it's TOO bad, but what if I got a couple of these phones, can I get a faster connection that way?
Plus since TCP connections can only go over one connection at once, it wouldn't really help a single download go faster, but allow you to do more downloads at once and keep the same speed.
As Darque said, it wouldn't really be worth the time trying to figure out.
In your networkl connections list, right click and bridge the two modems together.Originally Posted by sina3001
wtf that makes no sense. That will just **** off the ISPs and get you no advantage rather than 2 isps that can now talk to eachother.Originally Posted by Dylan98R/T

I had done this with regular dial-up back in the day. I used "Midpoint Gateway or Midpoint Teamer" - the problem is that they are now out of business so you can't download their software from the site anymore. I was actually thinking about this myself a few weeks ago but figured that if I can spend ~2 hours in traffic I can wait a few more sec for pages to load, etc.Originally Posted by sina3001
The software worked quite well - I used it with Getright's segmentation feature so it used different connections for each part - was getting 10-11k/s w good old dialup. I don't recall how it handled web pages, but I think it actually may have used some sort of proxy to distribute the load amongst the connections.
I'm sure if you look hard enough you may be able to find a copy floating around somewhere if this is something you want to do.
