Boost mobile?
Hey, i was just wondering if there is a *free* way to constantly stay connected to the internet while driving. Is there any free or very cheap service that allows you to connect using cellular phone technology? My friend who is also putting a computer into his car has a GSM phone that he can use as a modem, but the data transfer fees are extremely high.
So my question is this: is there any way to hack ANY type of wireless connection to get internet that is dconstantly connected in your car. We were thinking of wasy that someone could write a program that somehow connects to multiple 802.11 access points at the same time, thus allowing for seamless transition between adjacent hotsopots. Has anyone every done this (seems next to impossible).
On a side note, i was wondering if i should go for a multi-purpose antana like the GPS 2400 CELLULAR from hischman, or if i should use dedicated antanae for each service (GPS, WiFI, GSM). Let me know.

what about the antana?
my co-worker is paying about $70+ for some special service from Verizon. What they do is they give him a PCMCIA card for his laptop and wherever he has connection on a cell phone (in his pocket) he'll have connection on his laptop via that pcmcia card.
Some carcomputer have pcmcia (for instance minei epia has that slot) so that would be awesome. However I am not just ready for paying that much per month.
