well i was going to add the scripts to my launch script but its more resource friendly to have them done individually. These should get you though.
Add wifimanage when you do have connection and wifihop when you dont.

To elaborate on Sonic's new tools, this is how you should set it up.
1. Download AutoNetDetect from post #20 and add a shortcut to your StartUp folder.
2. Download and unrar wifiManage.rar and wifihop.rar into the same folder as AutoNetDetect.exe
3. Open AutoNetDetect.ini, find and edit these 4 lines
That should do it.Code:AppToRun = wifiManage.exe AppRunMode = MINIMIZED AppToRun_Disconnected = wifihop.exe AppRunMode_Disconnected = MINIMIZED
As an added bonus for using AutoNetDetect, in RoadRunner, change the code of your online indicator from "ONLINE" to "EXISTS;C:\connected.txt" and it will tell you when you have actual Internet access or not.
Thank you too Sonic!
I got a little question about this app and the futures that you guys made:
Doing the steps in post #25 means that the app will connect by itself (no user input) or do we still need to embedded the wifihopper program?
Thanks you guys for this little app (cus i was about to embeded boingo WiFi app, but I thing this one is way better)
Thanatos.
Wow. You guys are my heros. This just proves my theory that there are many much, much smarter people out there then me!
With these tools, it makes this program a lot better. Thanks for all your work making my life better!
Yeah google!
Got it all set-up in the car. Very usefull and much easier than the old switching back and forth between netstumbler and windows wireless connection manager.
Maybe. I haven't tested it myself.Doing the steps in post #25 means that the app will connect by itself (no user input)
You need Wifi Hopper. Install it and set it to run at startup.or do we still need to embedded the wifihopper program?
To clarify, you don't actually need AutoNetDetect and Sonic's tools for auto-connecting. You only need it for problem described in post #15
