what i meat was, after windows starts plug in your cable or connect using BT but don't disconnect, because sometimes drivers don't start again if you disconnect and connect again the software might not recognise the phone until you restart

You received a disc with your MDA. In the disc there is a folder for your use drivers and the network connection too. When you hook it up using your usb cable make sure you go to modem link on your phone and connect then the driver will install.

    Finally!!!

I got it to work. No need for sony communication suite. no need for netzero. i found some little dialup isp outfit out of new england that offers free dialup.

I followed their directions through new dialup connection wizard and i connected at 9600 baud. Now it was spotty (what do you want for free??) but it was connected long enough to get roadrunner to update the weather.

funny thing though. i tried to dial them this morning and the number kept disconnecting. i don't know if t-mo knows when i'm dialing a modem or not, but i can dial the number directly on my phone and listen to the modem tones, but my BT is spotty.

welp, i know it works. sorry for thread-jacking. huge thanks to all who pitched their .02 my way. i love this place

next stop...usb gps and a new 07 versa for xmas

speeds are horrible with tmobile. i've found that sprint is at LEAST twice as fast, if not 3 times as fast. im disgusted with tmobile as far as coverage and speeds so if this helps you out then great!
