U132 / U111 issue. Anyone else have the same problem?

    Hi All,
I have a Sierra 860 card and therefore ordered the U111 not U132. Two issues:

    1. After I boot up and try to connect, it dials, logs in to the network and then immediately gets disconnected. This would at first seem to be an issue with the account itself (username/password) but if I take the card out of the U111 and put it into a PCMCIA adapter, it connects flawlessly. I still need to 100% verify the settings are the same here between the two interfaces, but I'm positive username / password are the same.

    2. The adapter is never successful in dialing the card after resuming from hibernate. It gets to "dialing..." and then reports there is a hardware error. Pretty useless for a car.

    Anyone have similar issues?

I am going to buy a PCI card tonight with the PCMCIA slot in it. I will let you know how that works out. They are only $50 and support the 16 bit cards.

    Hopfully this will work.

I have to use the riser card for my mobo to install this.

Was the card mounted in your trunk? Would there be any problems using the card in your trunk? It works in a huge building i dont see why not.
