    Another newbie

    Hi all,

I found this site while searching for drivers for my touchscreen

    I own a '97 vauxhall calibra

I'm in the middle of fitting the pc install, just finished a trial run but was unhappy about a couple of things so it's coming back out tommorow and being modified !!!!

Some pics of my car and trial run install..

    Hi ya,

It's an option extra (standard on some models) for the cavaliers/calibra.
It's a fuel computer that gives current MPG, average MPG, average speed, amount of miles left in the tank, stopwatch and outside temp.

Well I see the first problem...your steering wheel is installed on the wrong side.

    hey hey
i have a calibra and are currently doing the same thing.
but doing it with a 8", because its bigger i have to modify the existing dash piece. which means fiber glassing and what not; I don't really want to change the colour of it though, which makes for a difficult situation, like in your case where the surround is a different color black.
i think i will also be removing the bezeal on my screen and also relocating the buttons, although i am having a hard time finding and appropriate space to put them,
i also wish to to put a igriffen knob for controlling sound, but once again, i do not know where i should place it.
    got any ideas?

Mine is an 8" screen, but it's being moved form there as I can't see the top couple of cm's of the screen
I'm putting all my button's/switches between the heated seat switches.
Not sure where you could put the volume control (mines liked to the car stereo for sound).
I'm also painting the other dash parts in black to match.

PM me and i'll send you a link to my site with a few pics for idea's

i'd love some info, pics and whaever i can get
so you say you cant see the top of the screen; how come? i can see the top of my radio at the moment, and thats sitting in the top slot; where abouts are you going to move it? i have heard of people moving it to where the heater controls are; etc.
where is your radio at the moment.
dont intend on using one, but rather use a radio associated wth my car pc, and a sterio amp.
