99 Silverado CarPC 8" Lilliput 4:3

Howdy! Went looking for a good In-Dash DVD player and ran across this site. After looking at all the great info, it made much more sense to spend $500 on a CarPuter than $1500 on an in-dash DVD player.

Well, I think I got enough stuff in this week to get started. The monitor will be going where the factory stereo and A/C controls belong. The plan was to re-locate the A/C controls to the upper center console, just below the dash, but the controls might be a little bit too wide. I'm open to suggestions on what to do with the A/C controls while still looking factory.

I'll keep updated on the worklog with pictures, below is where I'm at now

Screen is a Lilliput 809GL I got brand new on eBay for $110 (He still has 14 left , and I have to say it's a great screen:

I'm installing a 10.4 inch display in the dash and yea the vents are gone.

Hey thanks for the link to that monitor i just bought one great deal on it. Looking at it gave me an idea that i can used it in. I'm using a zenarc 10.3 in the dash and i can use the lilliput right above were the cup holder is now. I'll mold it all up and rebuild the top console.

Glad to hear it on the monitor, can't beat the deal! Slow going, been dealing with medical issues all week, but it's slowly coming together. I need to wait until I get my slot-load DVD in before I can finish. Here's where I'm at now~

Sorry Fellas, didn't realize I the pictures didn't post the other day and been busy since (gotta love military exercises). I've been at a fundage stop, but now I'm ready to research an order a slot-load DVD-ROM. Once it comes in, I will be molding it directly under the Lilliput. If all goes, ETA of completion should be next week sometime. Later!
