    Perali

    opA vladcarpc ...

Cara, muito legar o seu carpc.
Parece que faz parte do carro.

Eu infelismente nao posso fazer isso no painel da minha alfa porque nao tem espaço.
Não vejo a hora de pegar um carro que tenha espaço no painel para colocar uma tela.

    Hi Vladcarpc,

Great job on the project. I'm very new to this carpc and was amazed & awed by the sound quality of your carputer (vid in youtube). Fantastic.

Well, I'm using your worklog as my primary guide for my project (if you dont mind). Finding parts now (DC-DC , touchscreen, etc). Well, congrats again for the awesome job.

    Cheers,

    Tim

    Hello,

Just to let you know that I am currently testing other GPS softwares for my CarPC.

I downloaded iGo 2006 for PC but it is a leaked beta and it is far from stable.

Also there is Destinator 7 for PCs, it is stable and very nice:

In a few days I will post more info.

    Thanks

Next weekend I will post pictures, I promise :-)

I forgot to mention that I am now testing Centrafuse (have both RR and CF installed), because the Destinator6 POIs only work in CF so far.

Did you ever resolve this new noise? What was the cause? I'm thinking about using the same box setup you have going on there but if the amp being too close to the comp is causing noise i thought of just moving the amp so its next to the sub. How is the cooling with those fans? I'm thinking about using these Scythe S-FLEX SFF21D 120mm fans instead. I wanna try and use 5 like yours but i will probably be resorted to 3. I'm putting this in my 2007 honda civic si.

I replaced the VGA extension cable with a better quality one (thicker), and the screen noise is gone.

After monitoring the heat for a while, I've disabled (unplugged the wires) of the 4 external coolers, so the only coolers I have is the case and CPU, it reaches around 50C and thats ok. Too many coolers caused some screen noise and of course bothering sound (fan sound).

Interesting i'm going in the same direction as you did. I was going to add 3 120mm fans from scythe. They run very quiet and cool pretty nicely but i will have to get the comp setup and do some thermal testing as well before i'm sure about this. I see you are using RR and testing centrafuse. Did you end up liking centrafuse more than RR. I'm having serious issues with RR at least with the freefone application and the RRmobile application. Have you had any success with that?
