Thread moved to worklog subforum.
Here are some pics of what i got going.
2006 Scion xA
Custom dash, custom audio/video setup in the trunk. MacMini 2.0Ghs running XP (currently not working ). Lilliput screen molded into dash. Keyboard in the glove compartment and trackball mouse in the armrest place.
I tried to run Carnetix but it didnt like me, so i just hardwired power inverter under dash.
Got BU-353 GPS antenna, havent decided on the gps software or front end yet.
Other audio/video setup includes 3 pairs of CDT Audio component speakers (FR/RR/Hatch). Pair of Elemental Designs 11Ov.2 subs, ED Nine.1 and ED Nine.2x amps, and ebay brand amp for the hatch speakers. 22inch Gateway monitor in the hatch that can either show whats on PC or for playing Nintendo Wii thats built into the box. To power everything up, I got 2 power inverters under the sub box and powering those are 2 Yellow top Optima batteries, also built under the sub box.
I'm not gonna list my performance mods since this is carputer forum but lets say its built and boosted
And thats the boost im running
As I stated in another thread, currently having problems setting up my mac with lilliput. Both work fine separately, but wont work together.

That's just amazing!
Is this a HUD in your dashboard? Could you give me some more details, please?
Yes, thats Defi HUD.
What other info are you looking for?
want any suggestions?
Ditch the trackball, looks like crap, and ditch the regular lcd in the trunk.
Both of these items kill your install, they make it look cheesey and unprofessional

I can appreciate the work you put into it, and there's a fair bit there...........
But my momma always told me if you don't have anything nice to say....................well.................lets just say it's not to my taste.
For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards, for there you have been and there you will long to return.

That is unbelievably loud... Great work.
I feel overwhlemed when I need to relocate one part of a car. You managed to drastically relocate just about everything inside the passenger compartment. I'm guessing there is nothing really stock in there other than your steering wheel?
Any guestimate for total cost?
How long was the car garaged while you worked on this?
The car was garaged for 11 months, that includes some downtime while waiting on parts. Total hours spent on Dash piece only was about 150hrs, out of which 70 were spent sanding.
Total cost for performance, A/V, parts and some labor that i outsourced (like tuning the turbo) - $26K + $13.5K for the car = $39K total cost of the project.
26k for project plus 13k for the car?! you spent twice as much on stuff inside the car as the car itself is worth! crazy.
those gauges must **** u at night reflecting off the windscreen without a cowl covering them. the speedo/tacho down low must be a pain too. although maybe the HUD replaces them. if so, why keep the gauges.
those tiny rear drums look silly in bright blue behind those huge rims.
how do you reach the touchscreen while you drive.. it looks like its over a meter away from where you sit... guess u havent come across that problem as it isnt working...
