Wow, this is starting to go a little close to a Pimp My Ride application form? lol

To start with clear all the crap out of the car, I could barely see trim and carpet from your photos! Seriously, a clean car is much easier to work on!

Once you've done that, plan everything on paper before you go cutting things up or messing around with bondo/fibreglass etc!

Then get advice on those plans from people in the industry or others that have already done installs.

Get everything ready and waiting before you start.

I agree. I dont see how you can do any mods with the car being so messy. I dont even see how you can drive it like that. Even with my car having 90% of its interior removed and tons of supplies in my car, its all organized and placed neatly in my car.

In defense, maybe he works better in messy situations?

    Made a ton of progress

I made so much progress. I have a line run all the way to the battery. I have some of my wires ready but it leads me to one point. I have something that looks like its grounded to my chasis. Could i piggy back my ground off of this or should I just make my own grounding point?

If you're referring to the ground in the first picture, that looks to be a body panel ground. You might use that, but I suspect you'd be better off with a ground to the frame or other more substantial part, like the engine or a bumper mount.

I feel you on all the setbacks that modding can bring about but I was LMAO at
your problems because they sounded just like something that would happen to me.

Hey Titan check out my self made grounding point on my "Show off thread" Here. I get a good ground. Before I hacked and sanded though I OHM tested it with the battery for good ground capabilities.

Hey I see you got the wires through the hole also!

    Testing Time

That grounding point that I used worked out just fine. I have everything set up in a test manner but inside the car. It runs good. I have a few minor issues. I used an extension cord soldered into the 4 pin connector to give the lilliput clean power. However it has unrelated issues.

The cat5 turned out to be a bad implementation for my reset switch and power LED lights. Now I'm going to use 22 gauge power wire since I have it laying around.

My amp, when I press pause on the music and the car is off. I can hear a little noise and its even worse if I turn the level up.
My second major issue is my screen problems during hibernation my xp symbols is up too high. When I have my elite skin on its too high and so is windows. SO i used the settings on my monitor to try to correct it but that only works on the desktop and not the other things. I tried playing with the display settings in ride/road runner but that doesnt work. Its the widescreen eby701.

I stepped on my mobo and now the battery is broken off so I have to see guino's irritating reminder to update. Then shortly after my GPS updates the time.

But other than the cat5 problem and the screen its all testing well and I will be putting it together fully and mounting tomorrow for my trip. Its good to have GPS it lets you know how much time you gain when you speed.

Im curious about the cat5 issues..... Alot of my install revolves around it because of the high wire count. There is a line going to each seat, which will have a PC selection switch, a power switch, and stereo audio all going through it. The driver side has 2 cat5 runs since I have 2 computers to control from there.
