I gave up trying to run cables on the passenger side.
Under the steering column was a nice open area clear to the firewall. There was a Nissan plate covering a 2" option hole through the fire wall. I removed this plate and use this as my cable pass through.

Yes, Phase I is using the onboard sound. I had a feeling it was the cause of the lingering noise. Looks like it will need to be a USB sound card for the solution.
Anybody hear of a USB powered sound card that has balanced audio?

lose the tail light vinyls IMO, strut that 300z rear proudly

yes, get the 99 tails, a much better body upgrade. I went through courtesy nissan of texas to get mine. They were a lil cheaper than other places. Sorry, its just saddening to see someone cover such a distinguishing feature up with circles.

I used BSS Audio HiQnet London Architect.
It is a pro DSP design software for configuring and controlling BSS Audio Soundweb DSP's
I have a 1st generation Soundweb installed now. I hope to upgrade to a Soundweb London because it is Ethernet control instead of serial and may be easier to mod/replace the power supply to run on 12VDC.

The 7" Lilliput actually fits perfect in the visor. It only added 1/2" to the depth. The tension spring on the visor is even strong enough to hold the visor folded up during driving. The viewing is awesome, screen glare is not an issue. The biggest pain is sewing the new vinyl cover which I am taking on next weekend. I already have my patterns cut.
I will get the pictures of the visor mock up posted today for you to review.My only long term concern would be thermal issues and venting. But I don't operate my Z for long periods of time, I work from home now and only take her out once every week or two.

I got the whole rig running last night!
My only issue is noise when connecting the PC to the digital mixer. If I disconnect the feed from the pc, the noise goes away, if I monitor the pc w/ headphones it is quiet. If I run my head unit through the digital mixer it is clean. I have added chassis grounds to all components (pc, mixer, inverter) with only minor improvement.
I going to try isolators between the PC and mixer, that should do the trick.

Please post of pic of the lilliput in the visor!! I was wanting to do the same thing in my grand national.

I promise to get some of the visor up soon. It will be heading out to the upholstery shop soon for it's final skin. That will probably be the last detail of this project.

I installed the new DSP (Soundweb London BLU-16) and fired up the system for some rough tuning.

on first pass I had the subs up to the point it felt like someone punching me in the kidneys. This system should sound amazing after I tune it. As it is it is not too bad flat with some nice crossover filters.

I did notice that the stiffening capacitor will be needed. I'll install it next weekend.

I had to compromise and use a passive crossover on the front channels instead of using the DSP as an active crossover. I simply did not have the real estate for more amplifiers.

Absolutely no grounding issues with the new system.

Next project will be controlling the PC with VNC over WiFi using my Ipod Touch.
