If the resolution on the 12" screen is high enough, it might be interesting installed in portrait mode. What are the raw screen dimensions?
Well i'm getting ready to start a new thread for a guy (source wants to be anonymous until this is completed) ... He has many many ...many many many touchscreens.. he is planning on vamping a bunch of his daylight readable 12'' screens to work perfectly with the VGA for in car use.. He also has many other types as well. If he were to sell these daylight readable touchscreens .. what type of price do you think would be good/reasonable, and do you think his market would thrive?..

If just enough is really good, then too much ought to be perfect.

I will be starting a new thread in a few days with pictures of these on and running in daylight scenarios. With a Poll on how much people will pay for these. most daylight readable screens are pricey.. these are gonna be a great price .. well under any touchscreen on the market, and they will have better quality..
believe me or not, you can see for yourself in a few days... i will updat this thread withe the new details and the link to the Poll thread !!
i'm not sure of the exact specs.. but i will post them soon. I do know that the resolution is extremely high. And that the daylight lamps are plentyful... these were made for the military day use applications.
You're bumping your own thread with no new info..... wtfo?
I'm interested in your Mo mod, I have an 05 Mo myself and I'm getting ready to put the carputer in it too.
Keep me updated and post anything you got as I will be doing the same.

LOL I posted a reply to another thread in the wron thread... so i came back and edited it by erasing, but it said i had to have somthing there..(it wouldn't let me delet the wrong entry).. so i changed it to bump.. didn't know what else to put... Hence the subject title says ''sorry''
And as far as placing a carputer into your MO, you may want to take carful consideration with the radio being one piece and all... it has been a huge mess for me so far.. but fun (i like the challenge, but some may not)
I will prob post it in LCD, but then again MP#car.. thinks i'm a merchant so they are really awry about me posting the poll.. .I will pm when i have details

That's a lotta touchscreens hommie..... ?
Whatever floats yer boat though! I'd love to see it (hear it too!), when it's all together.
I'm hoping I can find the room to put my 7" or 8" touchscreen on the slant of the center console between the armrest pad and the cupholder. I'm looking for a good pivoting mount that will allow it to sit flush against the console, as well as pivot up to allow easy entry of information.
It's either that, or a 10" touchscreen on a swivel/pivot mount that hides under the oem heater/ AC control center when not in use, and adjusts to face the driver just above the gear selector knob and next to the oem controls. (less likely option as it adds a security/driving hazard risk to the equation)
Either way, I've got a lot of work ahead of me...... well, you know.
