Mounting system for the rear seats? I am not sure what you are talking about. Unless you are talking about the mounting system for the dash top screens? No, no ideas have popped into my head, I will tackle that maybe today trying to figure out a design. Thing is, I have to cut metal and i am so scared of hurting myself. I am also not sure on the design.... Should I make it a rounded type screen, or flat type screens!?! Im thinking of trying to go as thin as possible, but a few obstacles are in the way, like the fact that the driver side has a huge curve on it, I have to build the screen on that curve, which will take away the thinness. All I know is i'll work on it today and sunday. I also got my 555 monostable switch for the DQP. Only issue is that its not built and I though it would be . I guess i'll have to be brave and try to build it, thankfully I got a new sodering iron. The other one is all messed up from melting plastic, so thats all i will use it for.

Over the weekend i decided to relocate the 2 AMPs in the front. It took about a day and a half, but the results are good. There is now no EMI at all. Bad news is, while driving (without the PC's case on) a book full of CDs feel over into the MoBo. All music stopped, but I could still control the PC. This morning the PC was acting funny, took way to long to load. Then I got a device malfuntion error on a USB device. It seems there must have been major shock, because now my Sierra USB card has stopped working. Everything else is working 100% fine. If I leave the USB card unplugged, the PC starts fine. As soon as I plug it in, especially during POST, the PC will either stay stuck at POST or take about 5 minutes to POST. Its so funny, i finally get the system working perfect and now my carelessness has messed that up.

Hey, your in Miami also, thats cool. What kind of car you driving? You know, now i try not to let things like this bug me. I just have to remember this is a new hobby and there are no blue prints, so alot of mistakes are going to be made. Im going to try and plug the USB card into a new USB slot, and if I have the same issue, i'll try it on another PC. The good thing is that I have insurance on the card, so if it is broke, they replace it.

I drive a celica. But reading through your worklog makes me want to have a bigger car haha its hard to find a place for the laptop in my car.

Agreed its a new hobby and its hard but thats why I like it so much it just sucks when something goes wrong. At least you have warrenty, Luckily through one of the meets I found out about Dealextreme they have 7" digitizers for $40 and free shipping, better than a whole new lcd haha.

I went to Sprint and they say someone took the insurance off my card. The person could not find who removed it so they added back on. The card was fried, so I had new one sent out for free. Also my wifi card was burnt out. Bought a new one for 19.99. It actually works better then the Belkin Wifi that died. Those seem to be the only problems. I'll keep everyone posted.

Post some pictures of it (celica).

Honestly I dont think its the AMPS that make the difference, but the soundcard that makes the difference. Now my setup may be awkward, I have a AMP per pair of speakers. So far the sound is amazing, deciding to upgrade the soundcard to 7.1 was a great move.

Thanx, yea I am happy that the install is getting closer to the end. If you do come to Miami you could maybe even stay with me, but thats only if you dont mind my crazy parents and my 4 dogs, lol. Better yet with all the cr@p I have in my car, you can live in there, LMAO.

Well I got a new Wi-Fi card, it was a cheapy (19.99) but works better then the Belkin card that cost me 59.99. Also today Sprint sent me my replacement AirCard, so I can finally listen to internet radio.

Only bad thing I noticed today is that when I built the new center console and added the rear screen to it, I forgot about when I have to put the 3rd row seat down. To make a long story short, i cant put the seat down all the way. If I didnt have dogs that i take to the park on Sundays, I wouldnt have cared. Now I have to think of something.
