You could do your own
connectors. The Cat5/Cat5e tool is available at
Radio Shack (about $40), but here's a
link to the AntOnline page where the crimper and tester kit shown below is $38.13, including shipping. That's a good deal. Add
50 connectors for $9.
Putting the ends on is not at all difficult. It takes some care, but you have lots of ends to put on, so you'll still come out ahead.
There are two systems for
wiring Cat5 cables, called "A" and "B", and you can use either one, as long as you use it on both ends of the cable; "B" is the one most commonly used. If you use "A" on one end and "B" on the other, you get a crossover cable.
