I installed my new control board for my front Lilliput screen. Havent had a chance to test it since it was actually raining (finally). First thing I did was remove that $h!++y auto adjust button. Infact I took them all off except the power and pc/tv button. If I have to do any main changes, then I'll take apart the screen to reach the buttons. Finally picked up the access point, I decided to use the big one in my house, and use the newer small one in my car. Its the 54g version. On the internet 11mb would have been fine, but transfering files would have been slow.

Lilliput offered to fix my screen for free after I wrote a major complaint. I sent it out yesterday, lets see what happens. I contacted Mini-Box.com that also sells the thin motherboard that I want to use. The had much greater knowledge on it then what LogicSupply.com had. They told me that each board runs at 12V 4 amps. With that, I can actually use one PSU to power 2 units. That cuts my PSU number from 6 to 3. That is much more affordable and takes up less space.

For your wire, can I recommend KnuKonceptz? Ive purchased hundreds of feet of wire over the years and the "oversized" stuff that they sell is very nice to work with. They tell you every detail about the cable and they stuff the hell out of the wires. Very good quality, and very good service. Just wanted to point that out as a satisfied customer.

Plus, it sort of looks cool.

    PS: HOLY EXPENSIVE PROJECT.

Well maybe its the location of your HD receiver? I have mine away from the car pc. I am also using the stock antenna. I did have to buy a extension cable to reach the unit since the HD is in my front center console. When I am at my house I get bad reception, but everywhere else its good.

Well I decided to work on my car a bit. I was trying to fit the PC cases to the doors and I really did not like it. I also dreaded all the VGA cables that would have to run through the doors. So I started to think, then noticed a difference between the right and left sides of the rear. One side has the A/C system, but the other doesn't.

As you can see one side is normal, while the other is more in. I decided to keep all the units together, and place them all in the cubby. I stacked them all up and found they are not that tall when laid a certain way.

    Here are the cases stacked.

Here is with me holding all six cases up. I think its an OK fit. Once I get the panel out and cut all the way down to the cars frame, I should be able to get a better fit. By having all the PCs together, I don't have to have a long Ethernet run (which means I have to undo what I have done previously), also the KVMs can stay near the rear. All I would have to do is run a single VGA to the doors. What will go to the doors is also one headphone jack, a USB port, power button and PC selector switch. That really cuts down on cables running through the doors, but adds alot of length. I don't think it will be much of an issue though. One thing I may do is take out the third row seats so I can run the audio cables straight back. By doing this I avoid any EMI. Currently all my audio runs down the side where I want all the PCs to go. Also Electrical wire will be limited to the back. Still a few thing to work out, but I think this will work best.
