Im sure you got friends at the shop that would be glad to help you. I have no one to help me... The ones tht do want to help, end up talking most of the time and bugging the $h!+ out of me. The only thing really left thats hard is running the speaker wire..... Once I do that, then its simply a waiting game to get enough money to start buying all the rest of the equipment. I ran all the USB, VGA and other cables, its only the speaker wire left. Once all that is done, I may save up and get the speakers, since I need those to finish up the doors. and third row. Maybe I should become a "gigolo" that should get me alot of money fast, lol.

PS: Hope your arm gets better!

Wiring the speaker wire and ethernet.

I decided to start running the 12 gauge wiring for the car..... It took 4 hours. The rear doors where a b!+ch to do. Turns out the car was in an accident because one of the rear doors is different, like its an older model door. The clip for that one that holds the wire connector in the door was all messed up, I fixed it as much as I could and got it to hold. The driver side door was a nightmare since it has so many wires in the door. I had to run 2 ethernet cables and 12 gauge speaker wire. The passenger was so simple but I ran into an issue and its driving me crazy. I measured the cable and it was long enough, but when it was installed it came up short. I could have extended it but my analness didn't like that so I took all the wire out. I have a roll of 100 ft of 12 gauge wire on the way that I forgot I ordered. That should cover the door, and 2 more wire runs which are for the 2 front speakers (center, phone). I will have so much wire left over, but hey I am sure it will come in handy.

    Finally moving forward again!

It looks like everything is slowly starting to come into focus again. The screen for my main PC is finally on its way back to me, after I send a nasty email to the vendor. It turns out its been ready for almost a week, but he was to busy to send it back. Yesterday I received my UPS confirmation, So I am happy. I should receive my 100ft of additional 12 gauge speaker wire today, which will allow me to finish the front passenger door, and the 2 runs from the front for the phone and center speaker. I should have alot left over which I will donate to someone if they need it. I managed to go over my finances, which has been an issue because of the economical down turn. I may have $300.00 a month to spare on the Car PC, but thats only if emergencies don't come up. I can then go head and start purchasing the seven 40GB HDD I need, then comes all the other stuff, like AMPS, speakers, RAM, keyboards, screens and a bunch of other stuff. Taking it slow and doing it right is going to be my new focus. In 7 months I finally finish paying off my Ford Focus, which will allow me to buy all the big ticket items faster, like the MoBo and what not.

I did work on the arm rest. I went to home depot and bought little rubber grommets and cut each in half. Then used plastic epoxy to glue to the each armrest. This created like a rubber ring around each button and hid any mess ups I made with the holes. I may have to raise the buttons alittle because you really have to push to get the buttons down now since the rubber is raised. I am going to take my solder gun and start wiring up the buttons and audio, because right now I can not open any windows or lock doors. i can only lock with the key, or remote.

Anyways hope to have pictures soon.

Decided to mod the side panel. Basically on the inside will go the ethernet switch, USB Hub, USB relay, and VGA ports. In the back will go the KVM switches, but I am not sure if they will fit like I thought they would. Only way is to buy one and see. Here are pix.

Here is the panel before it was cut. You can see the markings for the cut out points.

Here is the panel cut and installed. Its alittle sloppy, but I cover will go over it.

Here is the area were the KVM are supposed to go. Hope they fit!

Decided to just go and buy another roll of Lightning Audio 12 Gauge wire. Managed to do complete runs for the passenger door and the center speaker. The phone speaker I came up about 3 feet short, so I decided to simply extend it with a 3 foot piece I had left from another roll. I didnt mind extended it because its for the phone speaker, something I will rarely use.

Also decided to add another device to the list. Will get this in the future since it could be useful.

Got my screen back finally. Decided to try to start up the PC. Put the master fuse back in and hit power. Nothing. Then checked the F_panel for the power and saw I had it wrong. Then plugged in correctly and the PC turned on, but no BIOS. Turned off, then back on and the DVD ROM starting sparking and smoking. At some point the small adapter became wet I think, because all the circuit paths were burned and missing. I think it may have been water corrosion from a hole in my roof. I remember it fell on the DVD but I thought I got most of it. Ordered a new one for $5.00, its alot more sturdy then the one that died. I pray the DVD ROM wasnt damaged. Infact, later tonight I will test in my laptop. The screen works with 800x600, but any screen outside of Windows, like BIOS and Hiberantion screen are not centered, instead sit up towards the top. No big deal though. I also ordered my 40GB Sata HDD, which will replace my MLC SSD. Once I get that I will rebuild the HDD image and save all the images and installers to the SSD as a backup. A few issues came up, the card reader will not work on the hub, so I had to plug it into a direct port. I also bought a USB Wi-Fi N card. My G card did not have good signal length, even when close to the access point it still said low. I bought this new one for $25.00 and the range is amazing. I can actually sit in my drive way and do not have to move my car onto my lawn to get signal. I just hope it works on a HUB, because I am all out of onboard ports.
