Relocation of HVAC controls and start of bezel

    Dash all cut up

    My start to a bezel

    DVD drive placement

Spare bezel cut up to steal the AC part

Cut the sides off the AC controls to fit them

Added plastic pieces to each side so I can screw them into the dash

    AC installed

    Fits perfectly

    Looks just like new

Gotta make sure it still works though

    Installation of computer

Should be just enough room for a MicroATX

Just a few cuts to the dash required

Turns out I dont need to cut after all

    Its tight, but it fits

Theres no room for the DVD drive, so itll have to go underneath the AC

With the screen in, youll never even see it

My test setup, notice the 8-gauge going to the M2-ATX:

    She works:

The old radio and the new Visteon unit:

    My temporary wiring mess:

    Reserved 2: Fabrication of bezel.

Did a single edge in epoxy, boy it's a pain in the *** to work with. I'm using the liquid stuff and tape to seal off the edges and I am not having fun with it I'll have to get a glue bottle or something so that I can squirt the epoxy where I want it like glue... perhaps I'll let it dry a bit longer before I apply it as well. I think I'm going to use less too and rely more on the bondo for the shaping and just the epoxy to hold it together. I'm paranoid about cracking, but might as well try it.

Installed the TEMPORARY bezel today and got 'er up and running:

As promised, epoxy and bondo pictures:

Reserved 3: Installation of additional hardware, perhaps?

I purchased a Visteon Zoom and I'm waiting for it to arrive. Once I find someone with a laser printer, I'll start the process of making the circuit board for it. I'm going to try and write some of the software in the meantime, but If anyone's been following my threads, I get distracted easily from software... very easily. I start it but never finish it...
