That's looking really good! I like the flashlight mount, reminds me of back when I had a Jeep Wrangler, I has a dash mount maglight!

    whats that smell?

    It comes in very handy...

on a side note, and one slight step backwards... My wife went to the store last night and called me stating that there was a "burning smell" in the truck...

I'm assuming that wiring the monitor directly into the fader switch is NOT the greatest idea. I pulled the cabling, and I'm going to find another ACC 12v line that I can use to power the monitor. This will also mean my wife now has to push only ONE button for everything to turn on.

Thank God there wasn't a my switch didn't burn out... and that my truck is still on one piece.

Sorry for the delay... I've been off with the military for the last couple of months. GPS is located in the forward right, just below the windshield. The cable is tucked to the right, and fed into my dash to the PC.

    Its for sale

All, I am building a new system. If you are interested in what I have, or components of it, PM me and let me know. I'm selling the screen, the computer, the HD radio, GPS and software, etc.... and starting from scratch with a new system.

Welcome back, and thanks again for your service.

What's the new system going to be?

New PC system or are you going back to the mainstream head units?

For now I'm going with an eclipse all-in-one. I'm getting ready to deploy, and buying the wife a new vehicle, so I think I am going to sell the F-150 and get something new when i return from Afghanistan.

The new head unit is easy to use, but I miss the full features of the PC.

You be damned careful over there, okay? And tell your buds to be careful, too, so you don't have to go rescue 'em.

No doubt! I still have some time. they keep telling us maybe in the fall, and they push a lot of troops through a lot of training between now and then. I think it'll be a good time. Honestly, at this point, I would rather be shot at than fix computers, so it's really more like a paid vacation than wartime.
