Hit those ducts with a heat gun, get them soft and gently curve them ot the inside. It can give you an extra 1/2 in or better to work with and the ducts will still work.
I personally like the xenarc screens. those screens adjust by the signal and always center themselves. Sucks this screen is bening wierd.
This is most likely a driver issue, though. I've hooked it up to a monitor port on my desktop and, using the Nvidia driver tools, was able to get it to display 800x480 normally.
The SiS drivers are not nearly so friendly.
Edit.
BTW, I've been playing with an evaluation version of PowerStrip. Even that won't work.
Started a mock-up for the case. That pipe in the back is a little annoying but I can work around it:
Due to the space constraints, I'll probably have to mount the MB back-to-front. However, there's only 2.25 inches from the front of the case to the back of the current bezel. My monitor is 1 inch deep so that doesn't leave me much room for cables.
I can probably get some right angle connectors: DB9 and DB25. Of course you can't even find out if they ship to Canada unless you actually register with the site. Yeesh.
Hmmm, sideways, maybe? I must do some more checking tomorrow.
I also got my Wi-Fi adapter.
Of course, they would come out with the 400mW one for just $3 more after I get this one.
Still at it.
The MB only has two channel audio out and I have a 4 channel amp (I still want to control fade). I cheaped out for now and picked up this little unit on e-bay:
Sounds good so far. We'll just have to wait and see how it performs in real life.
Got my bending brake and some 0.063" aluminum sheet. I might try my hand at making a case this weekend.

I have a 2008 Accent and am in the process of installing a carpc. I have an 8 inch screen that i will be molding into the dash. My plan is to loose the Ac vents and make a fiberglass mold of the entire dash radio bezel and then mold the screen into it.
