Just make sure that the hazard light button is still connected, somehow. Without it, you could lose your brake lights.

I'm going to move the hazards and the defrost switch to the glove box or the tray under the HVAC controls. I don't need a clock i have a watch.

Case is bent. Do not underestimate the tensile strength of aluminum. My brake was barely up to the task. Might have been better with some bigger clamps.

I also bent a middle shelf but made a minor screw-up. I measured 7" for the inside dimensions but since it fits inside the case, I should have measured for outside dimensions. I'll trim another piece and do that up soon.

Next is drilling holes and tapping them.

So this is going to be a whole slide in unit? I am watching this thread, my little bro has the same car and i am trying to get him to do one. Once yours is done I can prove its doable to the Accent.

I wish I could have went this route, my case is about 5 pounds. In its defense though, it has to withstand the weight of 2 adult humans.

    Post lots of pictures!

Yep, that's pretty heavy aluminum for that little brake. You must have been right up against the limit of its abilities -- if not beyond them. You might have considered a little lighter metal and some extra flanges for strength.

I bet you developed more arm power during that bending, too.

Still alive but not much time to work on things.

Tried a dry fit. It goes in OK but still needs the notch cut out as shown on the cardboard model.

I also installed the standoffs for the motherboard but they need to be moved a little to give me more cable room.

    Work is progressing but slowly.

I have gotten my GPS. A Wintec G-Rays I here

GMPC looks like it accepts the 10Hz update rate but I haven't had it on the road yet to see how smoothly it works.

All the power cables, distribution block, speaker wire, active USB extender, etc, etc, have been ordered and are en-route. That should be the last of what I need to get this sucker installed for a test ride.

    Hi,
I have the same screen with the same problem. My MCS computer can deliver 480x800 but then the screen is all white. Powerstrip didn't help.

Can you highlight what you did to get this resolution (DTD, registry)?

    Thanks.
