03 Elantra GT - CarPC starts here

Not much has been done to the car other than tidied up and mounted the hvac to the lower shifter surround. I'll redo it and have it attached to the lower part of the screen bezel.

I've been working on the skin more than anything lately.... and actually now have it up for a download if anyone is interested in trying out a vertical skin.

So taking some nice advice from Gecko in his install thread here: 2003 Honda Civic Hybrid Install Worklog
I decided to test my adapter setup too. Rather than using the carnetix to the auto adapter to the tablet, this should allow me to run from the carnetix to the tablet. Eliminating the need to push the adapter's button whenever the power is removed from the carnetix (battery disconnect or anything of the such). This will make for an easier flow of things.

The HP adapter seems to be a bit different from that of the Dell - at least the way I'm looking at things. With my test setup I used 2 adapters. 1 as the main power, and the other to send the adapter ID. Essentially the first adapter will be replaced with the carnetix when I put this into the car.

This weekend I'll also be redoing some of the screen mount and bezel, hopefully getting it to a point where I'm happy and can move on to finishing it. Until then I'll just keep using it, as I like it!!

Back to some more skinning... so much to implement!
