Since I added a cold air intake awhile back, I've been meaning to remove the factory air filter housing. Today gave me a reason to do just that. I removed the air filter housing, and what'dya know? Just enough room for the motorcycle battery(or the two scooter batteries, even). Two trips to AutoZone later, I had everything wired up and ready to test. Preliminary testing went well, but afterwards, my OPUS started acting up. All the wires were attached the same way they were during testing, but the light was blinking twice. I shorted the pins manually, and everything powered up, but I still haven't managed to get the OPUS to power everything on on it's own. Any suggestions? (And yes, I've flipped the plug on the pins on the MoBo...)

I wonder if the auxiliary battery Voltage is too low to get the Opus to turn on. Have you measured its output Voltage at full charge?

    Looking good . . .

If just enough is really good, then too much ought to be perfect.

With the car running, both batteries are at 14VDC. With the car off, the main battery is at around 13VDC and the AUX is at 12.7VDC. The OPUS light blinks twice either way; car running or not.

Change the voltage down to 11.7 on the OPUS by adjusting the jumper. I cant recall the number, but I think it may be posistion 4 or 5 or 7.... I would check the PDF.

I lost all the jumpers... They're all zeroed out, so shutdown delay=10 seconds and shutdown voltage=8.5VDC.

I got my fan box finished today. The ABS cement held what it needed to, so I finished the smaller parts with plastic welding. Pix follow:

Finishing the cold air intake is my next step. I still wish I knew what my OPUS's problem is... It still blinks twice...

I think that is perfect. I didn't realize the part was so deep though. You still may want to put a small plastic divider in the middle of the fans. Underneath, maybe about 3 inches. That will create even circulation.

Well, I'm going to Dallas tomorrow morning, so I'll try to do that today. I need to find something to cannibalize plastic from so I can make that divider. I used all of what I cut off of this for the plastic welding and the center piece. A CD case would work, wouldn't it?

You can actually use a piece of wood, if anything. No one will see that part.
