Started on the fiberglassing process today, got all the dimensions measured and got all of the supplies together. I am having a friend of mine do it all for me. I will have to go without the bezel for a few days, so I will pull out my radio when I do that, because I don't want to run the risk of it getting stolen. On the plus side, I might actually pay attention to my driving for once. LOL :) Should be able to begin the molding process Tuesday(Monday's bad for both of us) if I can manage to get away from the house for about 2 hours. Also plan on fixing some wiring while we're waiting on the fiberglass to set. Planning on making it all look as OEM as possible(paint it matte black, maybe texture it like the rest of the dash if it's not too time consuming). I should have everything in by the end of the week. I'll post updates as things occur and arrive. :) :) :) :)
About to go and do some more fiberglassing, but first, an update...
Waiting for RMA on my MotherBoard... :( IDK what happened on it, but it still has bioStar's 1yr warantee, so I'm waiting on that. The processor came in today(!), but now I don't have a motherboard....:(

Just remember to be careful with the next MoBo. They are very delicate when it comes to bumping them and stuff. If you have to do any changed to it, make sure power has been disconnected 100%.Quote:

That actually looks pretty good. That is the reason I went with 4 EBY701s, it is so easy to get them looking factory without that many mods. Only thing left it to do your bezel. The EBY701 and the HU look like they were made for each other.Quote:

I got the instructions from BioStar, I have to pay to send it back, so I'm saying screw it and I'm gonna get a bigger, better board(Socket 478) if I can find one cheap enough...
Maybe you'd be interested in something like the very-low-power-usage Intel D945GCLF2 Mini-ITX motherboard; it's what MeeM just put in his system. It has the Atom 330 Dual-Core processor and 945 graphics. You can find it for under $90 shipped. Add 2GB DDR2 667 memory SODIMM for around $30 shipped, and you're in business.Quote:
