Has anyone looked at the circuit in my signature? Can I do it with 4-pin relays? I ordered 4-pin relays accidentally...
I have bad luck with vehicles...

Sorry, you can't use 4-pin relays for all of them. You need pin 87a in some of the relays, and that's the 5th pin.

    I guess I'll have to order some 5-pin relays then, won't I?

Which relays are you using, where are you getting them, and how much are you paying?

    RLY-351 12VDC SPST, N.O. RELAY, 30A $2.40
    10 for $20
    From AllElectronics.com

The ones I ordered first are the same, only the 4-pin version.

If you're in a hurry, you can get them in an auto parts store, but you'll pay significantly more.

I'll put AllElectronics.com on my supplier list. Thanks for the tip.

Cool. I found them through my Science teacher last year. He gave me their catalogue and I've been using them for parts since. They have bulk discounts if you get 10 or more of certain items

Well, I got the CarPC reinstalled! Now I just need to get some ABS plastic to finish my fan bay and the relays to build the Radio/CarPC on until door open circuit. They should be here by the end of the week, and we can see how it works. Hopefully there will be no more *facepalms* or until then... *fingers crossed*

Had the CarPC running last night, worked great! I shut it all down and came in last night, but it came back on,(I forgot to turn off the toggle switch ) and it ran all night. I got in this morning to a flat battery.(8.78VDC) I clicked the IGN switch over to ACC, and the voltage slowly started climbing. Once it leveled out at about 10.7VDC, I kicked it over to START and it fired up! Now when I turn the car off completely, I hit the toggle switch, and the CarPC goes off, but the battery(I guess) isn't charging enough while the car's running, because the radio isn't retaining settings anymore. I think tomorrow after school I'll hook my 2 Amp charger up to the main battery overnight and see if that builds it back up to normal.
