Now you do know this is a desktop mobo, not a mini-atx. So it will be a bit bigger...... When you first install your Mobo in a car PC enviroment you usually kill it since there are no blue prints on how to do it. On the second time you will know the mistakes you made and avoid them. I am not into fabrication, at least not with fiberglass. I have never heard of fiberglass jelly. Is it easy to work with.... Also I would tape up your screen so the jelly doesnt stick to the EBY. So all you have to do now is just sand it and do filling in a few more places. I think you would get it closer to perfection if you take it out of the car and work on it.
It's like epoxy, there's the can of jelly and a tube of hardener. You apply it as quick as possible because once it sets it turns into a rubbery type stuff then it gets hard. While it's kinda rubbery, you can mold it the way you want it. I had electrical tape on the screen cause I couldn't find clear tape or plastic wrap. I'm not the one doing all the work with the fiberglass. Saul is still helping me out. I left the bezel with him so he could do some work on it. I'm having to make time to go see him so I can get this done. I'm gonna try to meet up with him again today to finish it. UPDATE; mobo will be in on the 10th!
Got the new motherboard yesterday, works perfect. Turns out, not only did I fry the board, I also fried the 480W PSU I had, and my 1Gb stick of RAM. I'm currently borrowing 512Mb of DDR DIMM RAM from a friend until I can buy him new ones or me new ones. I fortunately backed up all my data (except videos :( ) I officially switched to Centrafuse!! YAY!!!
Turns out that I also fried my 120Gb HD that I had all of my stuff on... BUT, I had an external 500Gb HD that I took apart and it's SATA, so I got my first experience with a SATA install. Now, I'm trying to restore all of my data...
