    Clonezilla

    Cloning Hard disks with CloneZilla
Free and open source, CloneZilla offers easy hard disk (HDD) cloning through one of several options:

    1. Live (bootable) CD
    2. Live (bootable) USB stick
    3. Network boot through PXE
    4. Install to a recovery hard drive

Clonezilla's downloads are all listed here:
    http://clonezilla.org/download/sourceforge/
and all are free. The basic use tutorial is here:
    http://clonezilla.org/clonezilla-liv...la-live-cd.doc
I've found the easiest backup/restore method is to image the HDD since it allows multiple volumes to be backed up to one restore HDD. The restore process is started from the same CD the imaging process is started from.
    See: http://clonezilla.org/clonezilla-liv...la-live-cd.doc

I have imaged both of my SSDs in this manner. I saved the images to a 500GB SATA HDD I found laying around in my room. I personally prefer CloneZilla over Ghost(TM) or any other commercial product because I am an open source junkie, and CloneZilla is Linux based.

I hope that answers any questions that may pop up.

Got the CarPC installed stealthily inside the panel on the Turtle. Bluetooth in Centrafuse works almost flawlessly. It's that stupid echo issue everyone seems to have. My microphone is in my A-pillar. Windows 7 has a nice feature where it will tune the sound card to the room, so my sound settings are almost perfect. I just need to install my new system, and I'll be good to go.

I'm jealous. My project is on pause mode until at least the middle or end of January. I still need to get my monitor and start cleaning up some of my drill holes and stuff.

I can't call it completely finished yet, because I'm still working out some bugs here and there and I still need to install my fan bay, but I do have it functioning. The only issue I'm having right now, other than the echo, is shutdown. Every time I start the car I'm welcomed with this immediately after the BIOS POST splash screen:

I borrowed that image from geekswithblogs since I didn't get a screenshot while I was working on it all today.

Yeah definitely need to look at shutdown configs for your psu and O/S.

Try upgrading to the latest version of IVT's Bluesoliel. I saw somewhere that a user upgraded to the latest version and the echo went away. IVT may have got off their a$$e$ and finally did the echo cancel in software form. If that doesnt work, id get the Pheonix Echo Cancel Card. I have it and it works great. I know its $100.00, but its proven time and time again to be the only solution that works.

PS: I love f*%king clonezilla. In the past no other software would work.

I agree. How is your screen set up? My main screen is setup to turn off only when the PC is finished doing its thing. Have you tried looking to see if the hibernation or sleep is actually finishing. It sounds like the PSU is hard-offing the PC before its done.

The screen goes off with the ignition on the car (or, rather, when I open my door). I think it's because the OPUS is hard-offing after 30 or 45 seconds, whatever it is. I've yet to figure out how to set the jumpers. The diagrams in the manual kinda confuse me...
