I downloaded the driver from Cydia and installed it. Unfortunately I don't have a bluetooth keyboard so I'm waiting to hear feedback from on a work colleague who is testing his bluetooth keyboard with the driver tonight.

Seems legit to me, I shall keep you posted after I talk to my colleague tomorrow morning!

I just wanted to add that Matthias has a BT mouse driver as well. So now we have keyboard & mouse input and video output. Now the only question is if there is a bluetooth touch screen LCD and we have a full computer replacement for the car.

I have a BT touchscreen that is for a netbook. I thought I might be able to somehow get it to work with the iPhone's BT.

I'll download the BT stack and see if it will work with my wireless Apple keyboard and let you know.

Confirmed that both BT mouse and BT keyboard work on my iPhone 3G.

There's an issue with using an Apple BT Mighty Mouse. You can move the mouse cursor on the iPhone but clicking the buttons has no effect at all. The bug tracker for this project has several people experiencing the same. I sent a copy of my BT log to the developer as he requested.

BT keyboard works without issue using an Apple wireless BT keyboard! Typing is instant, no lag at all.

I'm interested in whether this new BT stack will discover the BT touchscreen I bought from eBay. It's a netbook TS. I'll have to power it up and see if it gets detected by the new BT stack.

I forgot to mention that mouse movement was instant and you get a little arrow cursor, just like on a desktop pc or mac. It was actually quite startling to see and move a cursor around on the screen.

Anyhow, the new magic mouse works without any problems and I'm going to guess that they'll sort out the might mouse pretty soon.

Also, TV Out now comes with options to help fit the video output to your in car screen better. You can adjust size and location of the output and it will also put a little red dot on the screen for you so you can use the iPhone touchscreen as a sort of trackpad.

Nice to see some progress in the interface area.

Awesome work bugbyte! I can't wait until you test that touchscreen, the stack will detect it I'm sure, we just have to build a driver for it.

Do you have a link or model no. For the netbook bluetooth touchscreen?

This is getting alot closer and I may decide to fab in the touchscreen to my dash beforw I paint it since molding in the iPhone dock.

Her's my iPhone video, the keyboard works awesome!

    Bluetooth trackball..

First, Thanks for everything you guys have done on this, this is an awesome project...
I've lusted after carPC for years, mainly finances has held me back, I have an Iphone and finding this way to leverage it is great.
I'm aiming at th MP3Car screen kit, then using BT keyboard and mouse for operation..
I've downloaded and installed the mouse BTstack, got a Kensington BT trackball on order,
Hope this will give me pointer control,
Will let you all know how things progress...
    Cheers

    BT trackball 2

    Quick update...
Kensington BT trackball arrived, paired, works fine...left click holds down, trackball at full mouse speed covers screen well, however rightclick emulates the top "sleep" iPhone button, not the home button, which is a shame... Had hoped to be able to swap apps via mouse, but looks like not... not a biggie but a minor niggle....
Feels weird to run the phone remotely! very cool tho....
Got backgrounder running too, worked well between IM and SMS last night, makes life very snappy....
Just saving for the car screen kit now... cant wait!
