I finally decided on the amp I want. Its was so hard to decide because a lot of it depends on what kind of music you listen to and quality sound you are looking for. Every single review I read was so positive and pointed me to this Alpine displayed below. Even though all of my speakers are Alpine I was actually looking into a different make amp, possibly a JBL or something.

So this is my final decision:

    Alpine PDX-4.150

    Centrafuse 3.0

As many in our community, I am also excited about the release of Centrafuse 3.0. From the screenshots I'm diggin' the skin and improved features they have listed. I wonder if they improved that voice reading of email. While that was cool in Centrafuse 2.0 it was a little flawed.

Somehow I missed the bold red on this product page.
Notice:USBMA is USB passive adapter. Just only support wireless USB minicard. Canít support PCIe minicard.

That being said I may not be able to use this after all in order to adapt my EEEPC mini pcie wifi card with my current project. The search continues. I need to verify my EEEPC atheros model on their compatibility list but I don't think it is compatible.

I also want to eventually add a media card reader in the bin which would probably be mounted above of the drive.

I would have to drill a hole on the back of the bin for the USB cable.

I am going to start working on this tomorrow morning. Not a real complex task. I originally was not going to install a DVD drive but as I stated before this will only make those times when I really do need one, more convenient. (i.e. software installations from CD/DVDROM)

    The 'Ultimate' Altima Bezel

Man...I came across this thread by turbocad6 where he performed work and documented very well a custom bezel for this Ultimate screen for a Nissan Altima. I'm super jealous!!

I'm taking your advice regarding the contact cement. Not just for the DVD Drive mount but possibly for another task as well. I'm also going to pick up some of that Dynatron epoxy.

Excellent. Contact cement retains a little flexibility after it dries, and that helps it withstand vibration. I wish I could use Dynatron for my project, but the bezel material is polyethylene, and very few things stick to it. I''ll have to use plastic welding. Luckily, turbocad6 provided a wonderful tutorial on it. Whatever my next plastic project is, I'll try to use ABS as the base material, because that will let me try my hand at Dynatron.

If just enough is really good, then too much ought to be perfect.

This is a view of the fan at work while mounted. You can also see the ugly spacing that I had to cut.

Well this part of my project is done for now. I will have to figure out how I am going to fill in that space but this doesn't impact the rest of the tasks to be completed for my project.

I am going to revisit this part of my project and do some major clean up. This will involve some filling, sanding and minor paint touch up. I also plan to attach the grill without the screws. I am not sure how well the contact cement holds metal to plastic. I have to do some research on the best way to attach the grill without using the screws. I want a more cleaner look and the four 'wings' that the screws mount through take away from that look.

    Informative quick info regarding adhesives:

    Source:http://www.thefabricator.com/Assembl...le.cfm?ID=1704

An adhesive's chemistry is a key indicator in determining which substrates it can bond. It is important to understand the adhesive's correct work time, fixture time, and handling strength. Adhesives are based on polymers made from acrylics, urethanes, or epoxies, and each has unique properties:

    * Acrylic-based adhesives are particularly effective in bonding metals. They are very aggressive and require minimal surface preparation. Acrylic adhesives work well on plastics, but because they are so aggressive, they may craze or stress-crack some plastics.
    * Epoxies can be used on metal, plastic, concrete, wood, and foam. Because epoxy-based adhesives tend to have a slow cure rate and become brittle at low temperatures, acrylics and urethanes are sometimes better choices when production process timing is critical or when parts will be used in very low temperatures.
    * Urethanes are a good choice for bonding plastics, wood, and foam. Urethanes do not adhere well to metal without a primer, however, so they are not used as often for metal bonding.

    DVD Drive Mount

The mount for my DVD Drive is coming along. I cut the styrofoam that the drive will be sitting on and just put on the second coat of black paint. I drilled the hole in the back of the storage bin for the USB cables and purchased then installed a rubber grommet. Pictures coming soon.
