You weren't kidding! There are some great mods there. Now if only we could get them to put some PCs in their Fieros...:peace:

The thing with the Fiero... is most people that have them don't worry about media... they're about power & handling - and some keeping stock.
Great deal with the engine for $300, definitely the better choice. Though a v8archie chop would've also been nice :) or a Northstar :D
I'm waiting for my dad to clear out his garage so I can steal it to do some work on mine - rather than always working on my DD.
Keep up the work.
John, have you done anything else with the fiero lately?
Not in the past few weeks. I have been in North Carolina working on a friends boat. He has a MUCH larger restore to do to that boat then I do with the car for sure hahah!
I am getting ready to sell the Jag in the next week or so, and will be using some of that money to get the engine put in, and purchase some other things for it that I need.
OMG, I didnt know you still had that gas guzzler. Well I cant wait to see how the Fiero turns out..... I may not see it in person for a good long time since I have decided to hold on going to the FL meets because seeing people with working car pc systems, just really makes me upset. I dont plan on finishing till about the beginning of next year. Shame on me for getting myself into this overkill mess :tape:
Psst.
Anything new? :)
I'm about to get my 87 GT fixed up to sell. :(
I kinda love it too much to sell, but I need to pay bills and eventually work on getting my very first NEW car ever (maybe).
Excited to see your project continuation.
Still on hold.... SO many other things going on, havent found the time or $$ to get back to it heheh.
I will be hopefully in the next couple of weeks or so though. I will keep this thread updated as work progresses.
A the old Fiero, the car Pontiac wanted to sell as a two seat economy car, but the world thought is was a sports car. Finally at the end they started putting V6's in them. :)
John since you are keeping yours a V6, there are two great horsepower boosters available for that engine if you are wanting more. B&M made a full supercharger that replaces your stock intake on that engine. I remember seeing it on Road and Track or Car and Driver's TV show back in the late 80's. Or you could go with a Paxton or Vortech supercharger. They are external of the engine but have the same effect.
Seeing this makes me miss my '82 Trans Am even more. I've been trying to locate it, to see if I can buy it back. I think I know who has it.
That is an interesting thought.... I will have to look into it. Well one update, the engine is going into it tomorrow finally! I'm gonna try to take pictures along the way and post a couple here.
Ok, LONG time and no updates... I have the engine in and almost up and running. I purchased 4 new tires and 17" rims for $400! It was a steal, as the rims have never been mounted or used, and the tires are brand new high performance with the stickers still on them.
I have also decided to do a color change LOL! I saw a blue Fiero when I was in MN last month, and fell in love! Blue has always been my favorite color, so it makes sense. It is going to end up painted a shade of Cobol blue. Something kinda like this color: (Closest I could find with a Google Image Search)

This means I will replace the red lower part of the door panels with blue, and put the existing seat covers up for sale on the Fiero Forums and get new ones to match.
While the engine is being worked on, I have been restoring other parts of the car little by little. I will try to get some pictures up here in the next few days.
