Ok, here are some more pictures of the progress.
Here are the tires and rims, and the shape they were in when I got the car home and in the driveway. (Errr DRAGGED it into place I should say!) :
Here are the new rims and tires on the car now. The guy I bought the rims from forgot to toss the new chrome lug nuts that match the rims in the box, they should be here in a week or so. So just to get the car back on the ground, I used the old original ones.
This is a picture of what it looked under the front decklid when I picked up the car:
And here it is now, after taking a lot of stuff out to clean, and sanding, cleaning and more cleaning, and painting. I really am trying to restore the car, so it looks 100% new when I am finished. It's really in all of the little details, and a lot of time consuming stuff for sure!
I finally have a new headlinder backing on the way, new shifter done in black leather with blue cross stitching, and new rear windows.... Its coming together, just a lot of time, and money as I get it![]()

Wow I'm liking your attention to detail. Do you have a worklog on the fiero forums? I've wanted a GT for a while now and am getting more and more jealous lol. Those wheels will look great with the paint color you have picked out!

I don't have a work log on the Fiero Forum... The forum is kinda home brew software. If you go a week or so without a post, it gets moved the the "archives" where it stays permanently. There are never more than 2 pages in any of the forums, as all stuff at the bottom of page 2 gets bumped to the archives.
Yea, its gonna be nice to get all the details done, and then the last step to get it painted, and see it all come together.

Not yet, but there will be! Pimped out with just about everything, 10" sunlight readable Glass screen (No swirley colors when touching or dragging), Tire Pressure monitoring, Internet, AM/FM/HD/XM Radio, Control of the lighting and security system at home, Engine Information, around 35,000 MP3's, a Remote Start Alarm System... and on and on.... Just gonna take time to get it all build, installed, painted, manufactured and so forth.

Hey, I just picked up a Fiero not too long ago from Florida!!
Drove it 6 hours back to Georgia.
I am installing a Carputer in the car as well... using an Eeepc 701 with a 7 inch lilliput touchscreen LCD...
I'll make a worklog once I get the pictures together.
I'm interested in the seat covers if you haven't sold it already... let me know.
Thanks for all the detail pictures and write up! Good luck with the project!
Vinhtvu2, Welcome to the forums! I would love to see you ideas on how and where you are putting the screen & the CarPC! With all the custom consoles and re-designed Fiero interiors, there are VERY few with CarPC's! I will let you know first when I am ready to sell the seat covers. If you have not been there yet, go to Fiero.com (Pennock's Fiero Forums) it is THE best resource for everything Fiero! (Other than the CarPC side that is)
Now an Update:
It's Alive! I got the engine running for the first time a couple of days ago! WooHoo! It may however need to come back out, as it looks like the transmission is bad... If it's not one thing it's another! BUT, I now know the engine runs beautifully, with a nice soft rumble that sounds more like a V8 than a V6!
In the mean time, I have been stock piling parts over the past year![]()
I have brand new carpeting, tail lights, GT Sail windows (The Lexan ones on the back sides), Headliner, Bass Tube, Head Unit, Remote Start alarm, Polk Audio speakers, Pioneer amplifier, under dash clear LED lighting to light up the floor (connected to the dome lights), and lots of other little stuff.
The new seat covers and leather door panels will be ordered in the next couple of months.

VROOOOM VROOOOMMM !!!!!!!!!!!!![]()
Hahah Yea, it was SOOOoooo nice to hear it finally run!
I am now working on some custom tail lights. I am working through doing some sort of Corvette tail light conversion.
It will look something like this:
The difference is going to be that I am using the stock fiero tail light lenses, so the PONTIAC logo still shows in the center, and the lights are going to be behind the cover lens, and not through it.
So picture these tail lights, with the Corvette tail lights behind the lens, and you will get an idea:
