Looks great! I don't know; a backlit emblem may be a bit much. But hey, its not my car!
Ask me again after you do it. Wait a minute you didnt ask me in the first place. Oh well carry on.

your tail lights are awesome!!!! and ive decided not to make a pair. about 3 led's into it, the torch would come out and i'd show everyone exactly how an LED can burn out ^_^ hehehe i wouldnt have the patience to draw up a schematic like that THEN do the work... each led would have gone in and gotten wired AS i was making the board.

the end result is definately worth the work you put in it for sure! pun? heheh

oh, and dont let the kid in you ever grow up ^_^ im still kicking myself for selling off all my rc car stuff traxxas cat, traxxas bullet, rc10L, futaba controllers, servos *cries again* LOL

that is what i have heard from many others--my neighbor used to have a revo, and every time he sees me or one of my brothers out with our trucks, he wishes he didn't get rid of it...

the problem is that i never have time for the r/c stuff any more--primarily the maintenance, and battery charging stuff... the emaxx mostly gets used during winter in the snow, while i can tear up the back yard and not actually mess up the ground. whenever i bring it somewhere, i seem to manage to break the one part i don't have in my tool box on-site, usually halfway through the first set of packs, so i have to discharge 3pairs of packs later(my family has grown accustomed to asking me "what-ja-break this time?" as soon as i walk in the house)..

i took a vacation a couple weeks ago, and messed with my b400-- even got a new helicopter(blade mcp-x). it was a blast-- it's a great little heli-- it's flybarless, so it made flying so easy--i even had the confidence to start trying to fly inverted(crashed every time after it got upside down though). as long as you crash over the grass, you can usually pick it right back up and try again(the cf tail boom likes to break at the body of the heli, but i just flew it with the shorter tail boom taped back on). so far, it looks like it is going to cost me about $15 for a new tail boom--after about 20 crashes or so, so my cost-per-crash is around $0.50.. in comparison, my blade 400 costs me a average of $50/crash...

LOL, I was actually contemplating a 2" LCD with spinning MITS logo a few years back, I might just do it to see how excessive us Eclipse owners can get

i really want to do some small-ish 1-2" lcd's in my wheels center caps-- so the logo is always right side up--and so i can display anything else i feel like.. though i can't figure out a way to run the wiring to them without affecting the stability of everything...

i keep going back to the backlit logo idea....

part of my motivation was a custom lexus at the 2011 auto show-- the rear logo was backlit green to match the car, but was extremely dim that i almost missed it under the bright lights..

i might just get one of those cheap emblems off ebay, and do a mock up to see what it looks like..

Yea, with LCD I dont think you will find that thingy that lets you connect wires to one end, but when it spins it still makes contact. I forget what they are called but steering wheels use them. With the backlit logo, you would only need + and -.

wow, nearly 2 months without a update...

i finished my front turn signal conversion:

plenty of other mods planned(led hvac, led gauges, hid retro re-do, lightbar/dome light), and the carpc is running like a great hobby-- intermittently, and never perfect!!

and the original intent of looking up this thread-- my 'final' photo shoot of the year-- the last one before the car enters the ugly daily-diver winter phase of the year(doesn't get washed/waxed for months on nasty roads)

always more to come... maybe i'll start trying to update this thread more often..

    Awesome upgrades, chief!!

You gave some inspiration on what to do with the headlights/fog lights of my car!

Thanks much, and Happy New Year!!

    good to hear!!

be sure to head on over to hidplanet.com-- there's plenty of info over there on all of it--though your wallet/wife might regret the money that website costs you--believe me, the carpc was cheaper..
