Just a quick update to keep people interested...
I collected some Christmas money and gifts so soon I'll be installing my Bluetooth adapter with the mobilephone plugin and my BU-353 to go with GMPC that I've been sitting on for a month or so.

Yep, still standing by. The BU-353 and GMPC are a fine combination. My carPC likes 'em both.

I've been doing some updating but too lazy to take pics. What I've done is pretty basic anyways but if you want the pics, I'll take them. I got the Rocketfish USB Bluetooth adapter and it works great with my Nokia 6275i and E71 along with the .net mobilephone plugin and my own skin. The BU-353 also arrived and even indoors gives me 3-4/5 bars and works great with GMPC.

On order is my Alarm/Starter from Travis at KCAutosound.com, a Compustar 2W703SH-AS. It's coming prewired for my truck and a programmed AUX with latched output to make it easy to start my PC with the remote.

My next step is to google the power consumption of all my gadgets to find out what PSU I need to power it all. I'll probably be asking for help on that some time down the road.

I wouldn't say anything is a first for mp3car.com. I've learned that if it's been thought of, it's been done, and if it's been done, it's on mp3car.com. This is MY first carPC. I fixed the title for you anyways.

thanks, btw, I found that mounting a carputer directly ino the dashboard, no matter what type of monitor, will cause readeability problems.......

which is the reason I went with a pivoting system....

I don't know the make or model of my HDD yet. Also correct me if you see any that are incorrect please, and if I forgot anything or can ignore something.

Found and updated the power numbers thanks mostly to OldSpark.

Got my Lilli 889 the other day and started taking it apart tonight. The screen is ever so slightly too large for my Metra Double Din adapter so I'm going to take it to work tomorrow and shave it off some.
I'll take pics once it's mounted in the adapter, unless you all want pictures of a half taken apart Lilliput 889, then I can do it now.
