Simplex is back! I had some work, but now I'm free again

    Wiring

The car has some problems (P0560 error code), when the engine is not running,
but the ignition is on, the BCU only got 0.5V. I wanted to swap the dash wiring loom anyway,
    so no problem

    Plans (suspension)

-175/65r14 tires, because of the crappy roads and for better economics
    -35mm H&R springs
    -H&R anti-roll bar

because it's just a secret unreleased prebeta of Windows 3829" :P

    Wire in the hole!

So, I swapped the wiring, from factory crap to central locking+electric windows/mirrors one.
    Suddenly, the P0560 code disappeared
Added some mechanical protection to the new loom, to avoid situations like this

    Some pics:

    The old loom

    The new one

Also, working on a new security system, with protecion film on the windows,
    custom home-made 3-point immobiliser, etc.

We need better security if we want to put in an expensive carPC, and a "Hey, steal me!" sytle
9" touchscreen. Many forgot this, and found his car with a broken window, and without the
    expensive carPC/audio stuff.

Also, thinking about shaving the door handles, but in a reversible 'bolt-in' way

    Progress - Quick post
Added electric trunk door popper, and plenty of butyl-rubber goo in the trunk/rear wheel arches.
Working on the door cards, for the speakers.
    Messing with gentoo init system.

Will add some pics as soon as I'm free

    No more noise

So, I added some dynamat to the trunk area, I will do the same with the doors, firewall,
front wheel arches, etc. Also, planning to add some secondary noise reduction, something
cheap, but effective over the dynamat coating.

    Some pics:
    Almost complete

Work in progress, also, some extra wiring

    Interior

Some improvements done on the car's interior:

    New seats

    Fitted the triple-info-display

I painted some parts of the centre console, to try how it looks in black,
unfortunately, the paint was glossy, but I will add some kind of matte black
coating material on it later, so I don't care.

Swapped the interior light bulb to LEDs (1/8 drain, 10x brightness)
    ...pics coming soon...

    ICE-ICE baby!

I need some extra wires into the doors, as the ones one the original loom are too thin for
    the electric windows, speakers, etc...

I don't want to drill an other hole on the door, so I hacked the original connector

Not the best quality, but you can see the 3 holes

The new switch for the mirrors+windows

    The electric window motor

Also, I'm working on some custom speaker mounts for my JBL components, they are too
big and heavy, the standard 165mm speaker adapter is useless in this case.

    Size matters

    Boot

Wired the electric boot popper, small effort to make my car more comfortable

Some additional wires and the solenoid

New keyless handle from an Opel Meriva, color coded
