Thread: Honda CR-V Install "1812 Overture" Lotsa pics 56k slow

Pics as promised Ok so this is how it started. I got to a certin point with the bezel and decided that is was better left to a professional.

Due to costs though I got my little helper to help me fab the center console. This is where the computer will go.

I ended up with this.

Solo gave me the honor of working on his screen. Took about a week and finished it up =). The white screen in the ending pictures is due to a ribbon that needs replacing

Came out great!

I did modify the M350 case so that I could use the m4 ATX power supply with it. I also wanted to make the cables nice and neat.

I have 100% of the parts. The bezel ,with some professional help after I screwed it up, has been fabbed. The center console has been fabbed, by me. Now all thats left to do is install all of this in the SUV. Pics will be up tonight or tomarrow, depending on if my 11 mth old little helper is up to helping dad

Welcome to the world of SUVs. I too was a sport car person, and I dreaded giving my 2 cars up. My dogs loved my old Porsche 944 when they were little pups, but once they hit 5 months, they already started to have fitting issues. When they were small both could fit in the front passenger seat. Then only one could and the other had to sit in those midget seats in the back. The other car, which I gave to my parents, forget it, they would cry and throw up all over that car, even though it had lots of room with the sets folded down in the back. I then got a Grand Cherokee, which imploded (yes imploded). That was actually the most happy day of my life because I didn't like the SUV, my heart was set on the Durango, which i have been happy with. I guess the whole point I am trying to make is that just because you drive an SUV, doesn't mean you have to sacrifice what you liked about your sports car. I have already started to make engine mods, and have even more planned in the future. Body styling is also on the table. Go onto CarDomain.com and check out what others have done to the CR-V, u'll be surprised.

Thanks for the good words HiJackZX1. I owned a 2 door RAV4 at one point. Yet I think you're right I went to cardomain,cim and saw some great ideas. I may work on those after this.

I love Nexson's work. He actually did my bezel too. Im still waiting for him to respond to my lengthy email on future projects. SoloconDeus, where do you live? Are you in FL also? I happen to live one city away from Nexson, if I could remember how to get there I would harrass him, lol, but all I remember is alot of trees.

HiJackZX1 , I live in Texas . I shipped my bezel to Nex because I thought he was that good. BTW saw your work log. Looks good, I like the idea of a multi computers in a car. CarCluster
