So much for my plan. I have all the audio equipment purchased and the software still needs to be configured. I go back to school in about three weeks so I decided to hold off on the GPS software and just get the thing installed. I will be purchasing the monitor in the next two weeks and hopefully installing everything before I go back to school. I will post pictures of the install as I progress. I didnt get any pictures of the speaker install, but that is pretty straight forward
Well I am using my computer the way it will be the day it is placed in my car. I have everything tuned and running. Functional FM (reception will have to be determined when I put it in the car) and Mp3 player are all of the utilities I have so far. The sound is configured so it will go to all five channels of my amp, but doesnt sound good on my desk speakers. I figure there is not use in adjusting them for the desk speakers when they wont be there perminately. This is more than my stock head unit has so its time to install! I plan on installing tomorrow if the weather holds up. I will be taking tons of pictures and posting them at the completion.

- Infinity Reference 6022i door speakers (Front, Probably will be switching these at some point, the highs are really exadurated)
- Infinity Kappa 682.9cf deck speakers (Rear)
- Alpine 10" Type E sub in a small truck box (Attempt to reduce the bass)
I only go to college 4 days a week so I plan on taking a couple hours each week to add features and keep my music library growing.

I plan on placing the computer where my spare tire is (I never carry it anyway) then I will have my amp and subwoofer above the false floor.

Installation is going smooth except, I seem to have misplaced my camera... I have all of the wires ran and my dash tore apart. Just trying to decide where to get the power for my monitor from. Any ideas?
If you're just looking for power for the monitor why not grab it from the old radio harness?Quote:

Sorry it took so long to get pictures up. I went without music for about 4 months and have been troubleshooting for another 2 months. I am finally to the point where I think the Mp3 player will work with no flaws :doh: Right now its too cold in NY to do a lot of work on the PC so no more progress will be made for the next couple months
