Damn, can't upload pictures. URL is valid, this site keeps saying it's not. Lot's seems to have change...is it the virus? grr...Last try.

Edit: it seems that this site goes to a crawl around 11PM PT, and the default for the upload tag is to upload a copy of every image file. Why can't we just share? Well, it's on my own servers anyway, so it works for me now.

The headrest for the nook color with the power wires and the 3.5mm audio wire showing (not necessary anymore):

Wires comes out here, simply lift some clips and part of the seat cover is out of the way, wires go under the carpet into the center console.

    Here:

Into a single automotive relay (IGN, 12V, Ground), fuse and distribution block (relay is tucked inside white foam to prevent noise).

Tomorrow I should post a video of all three tablets in action. Actually I should start another worklog because it's now so different from what it once was. Here's the lastest addition, the 7" Galaxy tab that was in the headrest is now at the front:

    All the way down here:

All three android tablets go on with IGN and off when the IGN is off together. Except when they don't. A couple of apps don't go off with IGN off, even when display timeout is 7secs and it's supposed to go off, example, when the navigation screen is ON or when video is playing. You have to pause video before, or kill the Google Nav app or else it won't turn off. Lots of work to do on that side.

Yes, but as I said above, it's inconsistent. If it's on the home screen, or playing audio, easy. All three tablets are on the same line, it's almost instant on and off.

Okay, I just updated the Touchpad to WebOS 3.04. Very, very fast. I had it overclocked to 1.8GHz before, running WebOS3.02 and lots of patches from the community to disable logging and other stuff left behind. Well, the Touchpad after the 3.04 @ stock 1.2GHz runs faster than 3.02 at 3.02 @ 1.8GHz. No battery issues or heat issues. Battery at 1.8GHz felt about the same for me. Much, much faster than the Galaxy Tab 10.1. So today I reinstalled the upgraded overclock governor and kernel to 1.5GHz since it was pretty fast already. OMG. What a rocket. It looks like it's one generation ahead, it puts the iPad2 into the slow category. The UI is blazing fast, not bad for $99.00. This tablet is the best tablet out there, too bad it's so thick (like an iPad 1 thick). Qualcomm seems to me to be the best ARM processor around.

Just hopping in here to see where this install goes. I too have a Touchpad (preware loaded, etc. etc.) and am thinking about going the easy route this time instead of a full blown carputer like the previous times. Good luck with what's left.

I think I narrowed down the Galaxy Tab 7 issues. It's the cable with the AV output+power. I think it should be the same with the stock AV (without the USB port for charging), because the tab will keep the screen on (dimmed when it times out, but not off) as long as the AV cable is connected. Even if I disconnect the composite+audio cables, it will still behave the same. Using the stock cable, it behaves as it should as the IGN is on/off.

Well, the reason I went to that route was to avoid connecting two cables to the tab. So either now I use the HDMI adapter (with a passthrough for charging), then use an HDMI to Analog audio converter ($$) or I use the stock charging cable with bluetooth for audio. My Sequoia doesn't have BT Audio (the 2012 does) so I'd have to buy a BT audio adapter for that. Now how reliable are these adapters? Not sure, time to research.
