I dont think you have to mod the car or the screen. What I would do is build a bezel to pop in over the Lilliput sides. It will be able to be screwed into the cup holder screw area, then you can also have a screw in each top corner, that should secure it. I wish I could explain it better but its hard for me to explain fabrication since im kinda new to it.

Here is yet another crude drawing.

The two little squares are USB ports, then the big square to the right is a dock for you iPhone. You have lots of space so alot can go below the screen.

Now getting the Lilliput to stay is easy, Simple make a small hole and use the desktop bracket on the back of the Lilliput to hold the screen on. Here is a picture of how I did mine.

That looks like it would work. I just need some free time to fabricate the bezel to do that with... My mom doesn't really like me to fabricate here at the house cause even outside, the fiberglass (jelly) smell gets in the house and plays hell with her asthma... I may see if I can convince Saul to do this one for me like he did for the Turtle. I just need to match the colors for paint...

You could simply use MDF.... Make the bezel out of MDF and simply wrap it to match your interior. Also I know they sell vinyl that matches your dash color so you can vinyl it and get a nice result. Just remember if you do wrap it, use padding underneath or the wrap will sit ugly and bubble.

I think the fiberglass would match the interior better as far as texture goes. I think I could do it with enough time. I just need school to let up and to quit being so busy...

I know that vinyl is usually textured much like the original dash plastic is, and its easy to work with. But fiberglass will most likely look better in the end Its a trade-off, wood and coverings are easier to work with but might not turn out as nice.

Personally, I prefer to work with fiberglass because you can't lose a finger working with it. I may use wood to help with the mockup, but I will use cardboard mainly. I'll try to do some mockup work tomorrow and post some more pix. I'm getting ready to do a Bennie Wheels Johnny Cash tribute concert at the community theatre. I'm doing the lights.

Interesting choice for a vehicle. I thought about getting a larger vehicle to put a test bench in as well, but with all the parts I'd need to carry around, I decided just to get an office instead.

Can't wait to see how it turns out.

Congrats on starting the first new page of this thread! I'm hoping to eventually turn it into a mobile PC repair station, so I'll have all of that good stuff in it.

It would also make a good entertainment vehicle. Hey save up money, get it repainted, pimped out and take it to shows.

"Entertainment" vehicle... I'm actually starting to save some money now so I can put a new TV in it. I may take you up on your previous offer ZX1... I depends on what I can find here and at garage sales.

It was brought to my attention that I could ditch the center console TV idea altogether and do like ZX1Cruizer did to his Durango and put a flipdown screen on the top of the van behind the driver's area. That way everything is off the ground and there is less potential of it getting broken (unless someone throws something and breaks the hinges of the screen...). I like that idea and the challenge it presents. I'm most definately going that route. I have the room for it, now I just need the money to get it done.
