The hard drive will need a SATA power cable and SATA data cable. The cables are easily available as they are the same cables used on desktop machines.
The DVD connector looks like an eSATA connector, but I could be wrong. You could take it to a computer store and have them identify it for you and they could sell you the correct cable. Or perhaps someone else on here can identify it?
will post pic's monday of the bezel after paint dries and start on mother board install
ok finish bezel as of now,but i have othere problem.i got my mobo and i got my power supply i hooked 20 pin connector up hd but no power i got the m2 power supply.my mobo is the via m10000. i need help
Have you connected all the cables to the M2? (+12v, -12v, ignition)
Try the motherboard with a desktop PSU and see if it fires up.
what i did is use my buddy desktop psu.i hook up the 20 pin just to board and led and stitch wire an the fan can on so i was happy to see that working.i was going to make a case in the back of my trunk with mdf and plexiglass can i just use pin jumpers on my motherboard for the led and pwr switch and let the mobo come on with ignition?and thanks you been thru helping me throughout my install![]()
As long as you connect all three cables to you M2 (+12v, -12v, ignition), your PC will turn on automatically when you turn your key in the ignition.
Glad to see you're making progress.
