thank,now this other issue.i have a hard drive from my old tower i plugged it in everything came on but the screen goes to this message that it was shut down wrong and ask to move arrow key to the 3 option to start it back up.so i plugged keyboard in and mobo dont respond to it.i can take plug from key board loose and barely put plug in you can see the lights blink on keyboard to know its hooked up but they go off and not respond.what could that be?

Is it a PS/2 keyboard? Make sure you're putting it in the right port. If you put the keyboard plug into the mouse port, the keyboard lights will come on and then turn off, just like you said.

Why is the plug loose? Is the plug worn out a bit? Try a different/newer keyboard. Also, try plugging the keyboard in while the computer is off, then turn it on.

also ps2 ports need to be seen during bios boot up so if you plugged in while comp was running it won't see keyboard. You can always use a usb keyboard or bluetooth if your ps2 port is buggered SNO

ok tried it out double check of what i have and saw that the hard drive was on cs instead of master.now it pops up via mainboard screen

but nowit says something about inter a cd rom ect and i have no power from usb mouse or keyboard.so i'm guessing i have to get ide drive and install drivers right?

Ok I think you need to set up the whole PC using a desktop power supply and once it's all working, you can install the motherboard in the car using your M2 as the power supply. So connect your hard drive, CD-ROM drive, mouse, keyboard, etc. and then connect your desktop power supply. Turn it on and install any drivers you need to. Once it's all fine and working, disconnect the desktop power supply and connect your M2.

when i connect it to the m2 it was working fine but it started to smoke i think i got a bad board somite have to get another board now
