Awsome work. Like reading a good book
Just came across this thread while researching customers work and pc installs. I must say I love the look and sad I feel I have to wait for the next installment, I really cant wait to see the finsihed install.
I am considering doing an install but unsure were to put the pc as every spot is just too small. So i think i will need to do some customer work, which I have never done and last time I did any body work was in grade school (a long time ago.).
looks awsome Doing more reading as I hope the install I have planned is not outside of my capabilties, but I am willing to try anything, just onyl have the 1 truck for the family and day runner.
Looking forward to seeing the rest of the project.
Console meets truck for it's first fitting.
I got most of the components fit in and internal wiring run on the bench:
I then set it in the truck and finished mating up the dash to console wires. I wish I had spent more time sourcing a molex connector with enough pins to handle most of the wires.
It does have to some back out for a couple of tweaks but who wouldn't have counted on that....
I also cut one of the LED's off the string and tried it by itself at 12v & it worked fine so while the console is back on the bench, I will add a couple inside for visibility at night.
More to come!
