I have 2 of those MDF rings per door. I bought Alphine speakers and the magnet was so big, the glass was hitting them when I let the window down. Those MDF rings worked like a charm. Its cool because I guess Alphine knows about the issue because they make cut out templates. All you do is cut them out, put them on the MDF and mark with a pencil.

If you could leave the MDF rings, that would be great! I think my tweeters are 1", but I left the flush mount parts in my car, and I just sold it... Maybe I can order replacements. My setup is Audiobahn ABC525 in case you want to look it up. We can exchange info via PM.

That's awesome they came with a template! I made some rings for my truck doors when I had 6.5" in there, then the 5.25" in the kick panels. That's when I also had Tweeters on the a-pillars and tweeters in the kick panels. It was too much going on and hard to tune so I ditched the two sets for HLCDs under the dash and Tweeters on the dash. using two kicker resolution component sets back then did get pretty loud tho!

Yup, i can leave them in there for you. Too bad you already own a set, cuz I could put my flush mount kicker cups in there and the 1" silk dome tweeter for ya. Give me a reason to buy some new tweeters haha...

So yeah i'm gonna look up your set real quick and see if maybe my flush cups will work and i'll throw them in there for you.

I can't tell from the picture wether or not if they will work. They show just the front view. do you have any side or back pictures of the tweeters? I can also snap a shot of the flush mount terminal cup and post that too.

I'll have to take some pix when I get home from school today. When I'm on for this hour, I'm actually being a "Teacher's Assistant" But I'll take some pix of the tweeters with my good camera (13 megapixels) and I'll PM them to you.

ok cool. I'd hate to sell you kick panels and find out the whole is too big for your set. I'll measure the whole I cut out and let you know what that is. If you still want the panels with that knoweledge they are all yours.

What are you going to school for? I'm working on an associate of engineering sciences, and after that i'll probably specialize in mechanical or electrical engineering.

I'm actually a senior in high school, still. I graduate in May, and I'm hoping to go to school for IT (Information Technology) and eventually have my own business repairing computers and building web sites.

I'm putting this on hold because the truck's motor needs a complete overhaul and I may be trading it in on a new(er) vehicle soon and also because some personal things have come up. Keep watching this space for updates, though.
