Thanks for explaining. I'd be doing the fabrication work myself. Again, Thank you for the help
wait, your a antenna engineer, but you couldn't fab a bezel? no wonder the iphone4 had issues.
Built out the entire power structure, fuses distributers and all.
Finished building the entire PC, all ready go.
Windows 7 64 bit with Intel SSD boots in 13 sec.
started planning out how to cut the foam in the back for the computer.
Amp and other forgotten items arrive in 3 days.
Over 30 gigs of video shot so far.
Ill have more pics soon. This is wiring the hot amp and computer power from the battery to through the firewall (actually its in the wheel well)
Wiring along the left and right side. Don't take the trunk for the final state, its just there right now.
word of advice, when you the plastic panels over the run wire on the sides of the car make sure not to use too much force. The plastic panels crack easier than you'd think. Dont ask me how i know lol
You shoulda started up yesterday i was up in baltimore most of the day.. coulda helped you out!
It worked on FIRST startup. how often does that happen?
Got battery hooked up

OBD2 won't work
bluetooth phone and a2dp wont work
mic software needs to be installed and then that will work
backup camera needs to be installed (but we tested it works)
GPS puck needs to be installed
Navigation needs to be installed
Total time spent so far (including shooting video)

Oh yea and HUGE HUGE thanks to Stephen Jensen from mp3Car - no way i would have done it without him.
What im not gonna do -
install the joycon. Im sacrificing the steering wheel controls because the crutchfield harness didn't expose those wires and im not good enough to figure that out on my own :( Maybe if i get another free weekend (yea right)
Do you have any updates and pics?
